THE STORY
Jan Pieter Woudt certainly didn't spit in his beer. A scion of the famous Zaan family of historians, translators, and journalists, he was the last resident of the old warehouse, built in 1878, located where the brewery now stands. The building was completely renovated and now stands as a monument, called "Het Woudthuisje," behind the brewery. Jan Pieter passed away in 2016, the year the brewery opened. This wheat beer is a fitting tribute to Jan Pieter and his family , and thus we preserve the name in Zaandijk for eternity.
